How to search for candidates

In this guide, you will find out how to do a candidate search.

Candidate search is only available to premium subscribers.

There are three ways you can perform a candidate search and proactively find suitable candidates from the Tes community.

• SmartMatch
• Custom Search
• Search by Name or Email

From your dashboard: 

1. Click Find a Candidate

2. From the top menu, choose one of the three options: SmartMatch, Custom Search or Search By Name or Email

3. If you select SmartMatch, choose the vacancy you need to fill, and press Run a SmartMatch

4. You can then select from the candidates you want to contact or add them to your talent pool.  

5. If you select Custom Search, enter all the information you want into the dropdowns and press Search for candidates.

6. Select the candidates that you are interested in or add to your talent pool.  

7. If you have an ideal candidate in mind, you can search for them by name. Select Search by Name or Email. 

8. Enter their email address or their name into the search bar. Press Search for a candidate.

9. You will receive a list of candidates that match your inputted name or email address.

Advice: if searching by name or email, be as specific as possible. Searching for “Jack” or “Jane” will return everyone in the system with the name Jack or Jane.
